The Candy Dish
Thoughts and Things: As long as I can remember I have had a candy dish. Filled with candies appropriate for holidays or just with my favorites.
My family digs right in and devours each sweet piece, leaving it empty to be refilled.
My friends nibble away as they say they need to stop eating it.
When we have guests over, some are not shy about popping one or two into their mouths, others just look at it. I know they really want one.
Often times you will find a moist, half eaten piece left in the dish, compliments of the grandchildren.
Whatever the situation, the candy dish is always full.
Come on over and have a piece!

ReplyDeleteI just bought some glass candy dishes for butter mints a friend gave me. Problem is, my 11 year old. Nothing ever lasts for long when he is around. :) Have a great day! Blessings, Tammy

ReplyDeleteJoy, I have an insistence in my house that my candy dish always be full because I love the look of it. Darn, it's always emptying! Orange slices are my very favorite! What a cute post! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteJoy,
ReplyDeleteI would be one of the guests that pop a few in her mouth! I'm not shy...they just look too good! :)
You have inspired me... I'm going to pick up some candy today and place it in a pretty candy dish! BTW... your home colors remind me of the blog 'Dear Daisy Cottage'... have you visited there? She's in FL.
