The stockings are hung

Thoughts and Things: The stockings hung on our fireplace mantle have dwindled in number over the years as the kids have gotten married and left home. Just 2 hanging for my hubby and I, in hopes that Santa will stop by to fill them.

On our bed posts we always hang stockings too. Ken and Barbie from my childhood fill these stockings.

To remind us that the best gift is each other.
We just wish we looked as young and good as Ken and Barbie.

    Oh I think you look way better than Barbie and Ken. Love that you still have them. We moved around too much to keep our old toys. Love those snowflake plates and what is that garland that looks like cotton balls made of? Very cute. Mimi

    Joy! Did you make the pom pom garland on your mantle or did you find it somewhere? Gina told me your house looks the simplest AND MOST DARLING it has ever looked. Wish I had time for a home show. Love you. Sharon

    I would love to know where you found the pom pom garland. Snowmen sit on my mantel each year and I think something like this would be oh so perfect. ~Kelly
