Monster Mash

Thoughts and Things: Children have such an imagination.

My grandson Jack was playing in my front yard. The oak trees are his forest. He came running to the front door wide eyed and frightened.

"There are monsters in the forest", he said.

I assured him that it was just the neightbors cat and there was nothing to be afraid of.

Today , while doing a little decorating, I saw them!

Jack was right!

I saw them in the forest...

on the pumpkin ladders...

and even among the corn stalks.

Meet Fronk and Floyd.

I'll tell Jack they're nice monsters.
