Oh My Stars!

Thoughts: I was taught when I was first married that the door or entrance to your home is a persons first impression of you and your home. I always try to at least wipe off the fingerprints and clean the glass, sweep the porch and make it look presentable. Who knows what you'll find once you come in.

Things: The star is made out of muslin. I just drew a star on muslin, doubled. Sewed on drawn line, cut slit in back and turned right sides out. I put a small amount of stuffing in the star, not too much! I then painted the whole star with acrylic craft paint and let it dry. Then I brushed modge podge on the front and sprinkled it with crystal clear glitter. To finish it off, I hot glued red rick -rack to the back edge.

Oh yes, don't forget the red and white pom-pom garland.

So, this is my 98th post. As I learn more about the blog world, it seems that a give-away is appropriate for ones 100th blog.

A patriotic pom-pom garland will be the prize.

Say Hello! in the comment box if you would like to participate in the pom-pom garland give away.

  6. Joy, I found your blog from Jeni Otterson's blog, and I love it! I showed it to my mom and she loved it too, so she made me put your button on my blog so she can look at it. So fun to see all the cute things you have been making. I think the Karrens need to stop by for a visit some day! Tell Liz hi for me!
