On the Road Thoughts: My sister and I are heading off on our first road trip together.

The Farm Chicks antique show in Spokane Washington is our final destination.

We are leaving the hubby's home to man the fort.

Be it rain or shine, we plan on having a great time together, making memories and finding a few trinkets along the way.

Bananaberry Muffins
Things: My Hubby is quite independent when it comes to cooking. He wants to buy and prepare his own food while I am gone. I thought the least I could do is bake him some muffins.

2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter - room temperature
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas ( about 2 bananas)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup fresh blueberries ( washed and patted dry)
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
Add eggs, butter, bananas and vanilla.
Mix together
Fold in blueberries
Cook at 350 for approximately 20 minutes
(my oven took a little longer)

  1. You lucky, lucky girls. Have fun and we want to hear all about it when you get back. Mimi

  2. Oh how fun. I love Spokane. Make sure you go to Coeur d'Alene while you are up there. It is beautiful. Have fun

  3. Can't wait for that show!! We're leaving in an hour. Vanilla poppy seed muffins on our menu!!!
    Hope to see you there!!!
    Drive safely!!

  4. Hi Joy,

How lucky you are to get away with your sister. My youngest sister and I used to travel to Great Britain for a few years in a row, and I greatly miss those adventures with her. Have a wonderful time.

  5. I wanted to go up to that so bad! My mom goes every year (we are from WA), but I had to stay home for end of year school parties with the kiddos! Next year. I've heard the show is so fun!

  6. I hope you have a great time...thanks for the yummy muffins too! Come say hi :D
