Gumdrop Turkey Thoughts and Things: Our thanksgiving dinner would not be complete without the gumdrop turkey at each place setting. As long as I can remember we have made these to adorn our table. The making of the turkeys is the responsibility of the children. (with the help of mom and grandma)
Toothpicks and gumdrops is all it takes.
Is there some way to make them out of chocolate? Preferably dark?
ReplyDeleteYou are such a cute grandma. Have a great Thanksgiving. Mimi
ReplyDeleteJoy, I have had such a lovely morning before heading out for Thanksgiving looking over all of your wonderful creations. Beautiful quilt, even more beautiful grand baby! Have to make some poinsettias, and a snowman! May I ask did you use felt or fleece? The wonderful green hat is my favorite color of green that has been discontinued where I buy felt. Do you have a source to share? Thank you again for the wonderful trim! I can't wait to use it! Happy Thanksgiving! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures of the gumdrop turkeys I needed a reminder.

ReplyDeleteI'm an EFL teacher in Taiwan. I just saw your post of gumdrop turkey and really love this great idea!! Actually, me and my friends really enjoy reading your blog and appreciating your creative teaching ideas. I am wondering if it is welcome that I share this gumdrop turkey idea on my facebook page with a photo and a direct link to your blog with other EFL teachers?? It will certainly inspire most of them!
