Thoughts: I have watched the little squirrels scurry about collecting the acorns as they fall from the oak trees. Each mouthful helps to fill up their little homes for the long winter to come.
Things: Growing up with 5 brothers and sisters meant we were always running out of toilet paper. Between the time we ran out and my mother getting to the store (if she had the money), she would get out a stack of the ZEE napkins from the kitchen and put them on the back of the toilet. Pink, yellow, blue was your choice of colors to get the job done.
Needless to say, I have a hang up about toilet paper. Ever since I got married I have been obsessed with always having enough around the house. In the closets, under the beds, in the bathroom cabinets, in my food storage in the basement.
I squirrel it away every chance I can get. You know where to come if you run out. I'd be happy to share a roll or two.
What do you squirrel away?
My husband would love to live at your house. He feels the same way about TP. I squirrel a lot of things away. My freezer is always jammed full! Mimi
ReplyDeleteDove soap bars, artichoke hearts and Windex. The latter two were by accident, picked up a few too many over time.
ReplyDeleteI like to have a few 5 pound bags of flour in my pantry at all times and lots of paper towels and lemonade drink mix. Toilet paper made me laugh since I just finished potty training my little GS after 4 long months and went thru rolls and rolls of paper. He loved playing with the paper but not so much the idea behind the paper:)
