Under the hot sun,
Tree branches,
Sagging so low
ripe peaches.
Summer is delicious.
Thoughts and Things: My neighbor gave me this old ladder, he knows I like them. I painted this one turquoise, lightly, leaving the wood grain to show through. It is perfect nestled under my peach tree. Ready for the harvest.
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1 1/2 coconut
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup sliced almonds
Combine ingredients and press into greased 9 x 13 pan.
Bake @ 350 for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. until brown, to form coarse crumbs. Cool
Serve over vanilla ice cream with fresh peaches.
Drizzle with caramel (optional)
Delicious!
thanks Gina

Sounds yummy! Love fresh peaches. We have an Elberta peach in our backyard. Your ladder looks so cute under your tree. Mimi
ReplyDeleteIt is sooooo yummy!! A summer favorite, especially with homemade ice cream. And Sharon is right, caramel is a must.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how food, like this dessert for me, sparks so many happy memories? Glad to share the recipe and thanks for always sharing your peaches with us so we could enjoy it before our trees started producing.
