POOF!

A trip to my favorite fabric store and lunch with my friend Sue is always a treat.

We were like 2 kids in a candy store.

We wanted one of everything!

This amy butler gumdrop pillow pattern was a must have.

I call if a POOF!

10 small bags of stuffing, 2 1/4 yards of fabric 

one evening alone with my sewing machine and  POOF

The pieces of this quilt have been sitting  in my sewing room closet for about 2 years.
  I was determined to finish it up for the quilt show.

 My memory quickly returned as to why I had not finished it.

  My head was spinning as if I were on a merry-go-round!

 Super glad to have it finished.

  Would not ride that merry-go-round again!

My hubby is trekking the pioneer trails of Wyoming with 400 teenagers

My goal is to not dirty a dish

The pickles met on tuesday for our August all day sew. 

 So  much to talk about and projects to work on too. 

 I pieced together my hexagon quilt

and finished my chevron pillow.

My home is quiet now... too quiet.  

Today, my son and his family headed back to college for his last year of law school.

 These past few months have gone by so quickly.

Fun to be together. 

Lots of good memories made.

The dahlias and zinnias are in full bloom, and there is plenty to cut.

I like to use my vintage pitchers for vases.  

The little pool house is a good spot to relax on a hot summer day
