There's no place like home

My son and his family are in their last semester of law school.
 Far away from home.
For Christmas my daughter-in-law, Tiffy, made this adorable map to reminds us all that,  there's no place like home.

  9. I can't help but wonder if the USA map is a pattern you can share. Looks like a great size. I just happen to live in northern Utah, you can find me on FB as Lindy Dare of Roy Utah. I did try to join and follow you but I seldom have any luck with that on my computer. My email is AngelKruiser1@yahoo.com I love maps you did great. I am a long time quilter, machine embroider-er and have a short arm to do my own machine quilting if I have enough ambition. Thanks for sharing your pictures Please message me if you have a few minutes. Hugs

  12. I like how she added the upper peninsula of Michigan to Wisconsin. I always thought it should belong to Wisconsin anyway.

  14. When my daughter was a police officer, I used to make tiny little quilts for those nights when she would go into a domestic violence situations. I put them into little tote bags that had an attached pocket on the front side of the tote bag. I placed a simple little bunny in that pocket with a little note that read "Somebunny loves you" Inside the bag , was the little drag around quilt and a child's toothbrush , so that when Daddy was hauled off to jail, and Mommy had to go to the hospital , the child had a bag for his jammies. It wasn't much , but was fun for me to make and I hope that eased some of their fears.
